My name is Jim Blaha, and I am the owner and operator of this premier custom cabinet and furniture business. After years of experience working with wood, I can create a broad range of cabinetry to suit any residential or commercial space. Everything that leaves my shop is made entirely by me. I take a hands-on approach from initial designs to final products. I am passionate about what I do, and it shows in my work. My Process
At Itasca Cabinet Company, my process begins with listening to my customers to understand their needs and goals. We often meet at my shop to look and wood and style options. I then carefully measure and confirm the project design before beginning construction. I focus on details to ensure that every cabinet is exactly how you imagined it.
Intial Planning
When we meet we will discuss your goals, your budget and your timeframe. In many cases, customers visit my shop to look at sample door styles and wood options.
Design & Estimate
After researching current prices, I put together a spreadsheet to determine a final estimate to give my customer.
Project Construction
Once I receive the wood, hardware and other components, I cut, sand, and assemble each cabinet. Next I disassemble where necessary, in order to finish and complete final sanding. At that point I reassemble for delivery.

Finish is decided up front. It could be stain, paint, or polycrylic
